Popular video conferencing platform Zoom has announced that it has fixed this error in the Mac application after many users reported that the microphone was not disabled despite ending a conference.
Zoom fixed the bug
With many reports from users, Zoom has confirmed that there is a bug that could cause the orange microphone in use indicator to appear even after leaving the video conference. A while ago, information was shared from the company that the bug was fixed after a user voiced the current issue.
Zoom, from a meeting, call announced that users who experience the error that the microphone does not turn off after leaving the webinar will be able to update their MacOS applications to version 5.9.3. In addition, it recommends users to turn on automatic update so that a possible error can be delivered to the user as quickly as possible.
