YouTube is bringing the picture-in-picture (PiP) feature to more iPhone and iPad users, which allows a mini player to move around the device screen while using other apps. This feature, which has been tested for a while, is now generally available.
Picture-in-picture feature on YouTube for iOS
YouTube’s picture-in-picture feature, which has been accessible to Andorid users for a while, is now more accessible to iOS users. The company announced that the feature will be available in a few days for devices running iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 or later.
The picture-in-picture feature has been rolled out to all YouTube Premium subscribers, but for those using the platform for free, only US users will be able to take advantage of this feature.
Users who want to see if the feature is available on their device will be able to check it by tapping the profile picture in the upper right corner of the YouTube application, going to General from Settings and using the “Picture in picture” button.
