A man named Trevor Jacob, who lives in the USA and is a popular content producer, came up with a strange issue a few years ago. In a video shared by YouTuber in December 2021, he jumped from a plane on the grounds that he crashed, but allegations that the video was fake and misleading were brought up. Now those suspicions turned out to be true.
In a video he shared in December 2021, Trevor Jacob wanted to show his followers the journey he would make with a small plane. Actually, there was no problem with this, because the YouTuber had a valid license to operate small planes. As such, YouTuber, who placed cameras in various parts of the plane he would use, would share those moments with his followers. However, Jacob, who claimed that the plane malfunctioned shortly after takeoff, jumped out of the plane. While he was escaping by parachute, the plane crashed empty-handed. YouTuber shared all these events on his YouTube channel.
It all turned out to be a hoax!
There were things that did not make sense in the video that we will leave at the end of our news. The YouTuber wasn’t trying in any way to control the plane he claimed was broken, but instead opened the door and peeked down to see how high it was from the ground. Moreover, Trevor Jacob was wearing a parachute suit -he must have guessed what happened(!)- while getting on the plane. And our “victim” hadn’t neglected to carry his selfie stick with him in the turmoil 🙂
The fact that the video in question was on the agenda in the USA led to an investigation into the incident. As a result, there was an aircraft crash and the incident had to be examined. However, the place where the plane crashed could not be found. In fact, there was not the slightest evidence of the wreckage of the plane. The authorities, who cornered YouTuber thoroughly, managed to learn the truth.
It turns out that he tried to do something like this to get more views!
Realizing that if he did not tell the truth, he would open up bigger things to himself, YouTuber admitted that he did this consciously. Jacob had turned off the engine of the plane, which he said was broken, and jumped out of the plane without any intervention. After the incident, YouTuber went to the scene of the accident with a helicopter and destroyed all the wreckage of the plane. He managed to save the images he took before he jumped when he went to the wreckage of the plane. According to the information received, Trevor Jacob handed over the debris from that event to the US police.
He will be judged for 20 years!
This move of YouTuber, of course, will not go unpunished. U.S. officials have announced that Trevor Jacob will face up to 20 years in prison for the crime of obscuring evidence after an incident that warrants a federal investigation. Jacob, whose pilot’s license has been revoked, is expected to appear on his first hearing in a few weeks.
