Another new update has been introduced for YouTube viewers. The video sharing service is finally adding different tabs to clearly distinguish between regular videos and Shorts, which are video fragments limited to 60 seconds.
The new change will make it both easier and simpler for viewers to discover the content they prefer to watch while browsing a creator’s channel page. Instead of seeing all video uploads (including feature videos, Short videos, and live streams) in one Videos tab, users will see new tabs divided into different categories.
Shorts tab
A tab dedicated to short video clips… If you’re watching YouTube Shorts in the Shorts feed and you try to switch from the stream to a creator’s channel, you’ll be taken to the Shorts tab.
Live tab
You’ll find all streams on this tab, including those currently active, scheduled, or archived.
Videos tab
It hosts long-form content. You will no longer see Shorts or live streams listed below this.
This change appears to have been driven by feedback from users who wanted a more streamlined way to discover and consume content. The update has started to go live and will be available on all platforms for both the YouTube app and website in the coming weeks.
