Emails that appear to come from a trusted and reputable company but are actually a gateway to phishing scams are nothing new. An e-mail frenzy that appeared this week and seems to come from YouTube is the latest example of this.
The official TeamsYouTube Twitter account has warned its users against this new email scam. The warning mentions that some people are receiving emails that appear to be from YouTube and even have the address [email protected].

The email is labeled “Changes to YouTube rules and policies,” and in the body of the message, users are asked to click a link. This link is, of course, a gateway for hackers to damage your PC or smartphone.
YouTube says “if you receive this email be careful and do not download/access any files”. He adds that he is currently investigating this phishing scam.
