After Google threatened to sue, the developers of the YouTube Vanced application announced that they had decided to close the application. The app will continue to work on Android users who have already installed it, but will not receive updates. For legal reasons
Vanced is a popular third-party YouTube app for Android that specifically allows YouTube users to watch any YouTube video ad-free without a Premium subscription. The program also included customizations not available in the official YouTube app for Android.
Vanced producers posted on Telegram “Vanced has been discontinued. We know this isn’t something you want to hear, but it’s something we need to do. We’ve reached out to Google to make a statement about the suspension of Vanced, and we’ll let you know when a statement is made.”
