YouTube, the world’s largest content platform, made many television channels watchable at affordable prices with the YouTube TV system it launched in 2017. Unfortunately, this system was not available in our country.

According to the information revealed today, Youtube has already started testing its new YouTube TV-like platform. Moreover, this system will be completely free.

You will be able to watch paid channels for free

This new system developed by YouTube will allow you to watch “cable TV” channels just like YouTube TV. Cable TV is the name given to services such as Digiturk, Tivibu and Türksat KabloTV that are also available in our country. The company already offered channels such as Fox, ESPN, CNN, NFL TV, and CBS, the largest US cable channels, with YouTube TV subscriptions. In the new system, it was announced that there will be many more channels and the platform will be completely free.

On this platform, which is currently only tested with a few hundred carefully selected people, broadcasts will be free, but users will see ads just like on television channels. In a statement made by YouTube on the subject, the world giant Lionsgate announced that it has signed an agreement with giants such as A+E Networks (owner of channels such as History Channel and Crime +) and FimRise (the company that owns the television broadcasting rights of Marvel, Disney, MGM and many companies). It is also stated that agreements will be made with more production companies and television channels.

With this move, YouTube can become an ambitious competitor to many digital content platforms and traditional television channels, especially Netflix and Disney+.
