Although not as popular as Spotify, YouTube Music, which has a niche user base, is testing a new feature in its Android application. This feature, which is already available in Spotify, is a must-have feature in all music service services. YouTube also listened to the request of its users.

While the feature is nice, it seems to be subject to a limitation at the moment as play counts only appear on an artist’s homepage and only for the top five most popular songs.
Although the version of the YouTube Music Android app with play count is 6.03.51, there are no play counts yet, according to users with this version. Google is probably using a server-side update to test this feature and will push the update out to all Android users when satisfied in that context.
