US-based technology giant Google has announced a new feature for its online music platform YouTube Music. This new feature, called “Samples”, will positively affect the user experience. Users will have no trouble finding new songs to love with the Samples feature.
Placed between the Home and Explore buttons in the menu at the bottom of the YouTube Music app, Samples will have a similar structure to TikTok or Instagram Reels. We can liken this feature to YouTube’s Shorts feature. A user entering this page will encounter clips that are suitable for his or her musical taste. The scrollable feature will allow you to discover brand new music in seconds.
Here’s what YouTube Music’s new feature will look like:
Making it easy to discover new music, Samples will also allow favorite music to be liked, added to playlists, shared with another user, played the entire track, and even started a radio similar to that song. All this will be done via buttons placed vertically on the right side of the screen. Competing platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music were also enabling new songs to be discovered, but Samples’ scrolling and clip support seems to provide a remarkable experience for users.
According to the statement made on YouTube’s official blog page, Samples has started to reach all iOS and Android users around the world as of now. So experiencing this feature is only a matter of time now. It is already a matter of curiosity how the impressive feature in YouTube Music will affect rival platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
