Being the most popular video platform in the world, YouTube is preparing to bring a feature that will further improve the video watching experience of its users. This feature may be similar to the audio normalization we see in Spotify.
With the innovation that the platform works on; It can be said that it aims to improve the music experience of the users by making the sound of the videos smoother. The feature is called “Stable Volume”, which can be translated into Turkish as “stable sound”.
It is not known when the feature, which is thought to be tested at the moment, will come to everyone.
It has come to your attention that while watching different videos on YouTube, the sound levels differ. The platform collects videos from millions of creators, making it seriously difficult to maintain volume consistency across billions of videos.
Platforms like Apple and Spotify can already fix spikes in audio. In fact, there are various applications to fix exactly this problem on phones and computers. Youtube, however, did not have this capability.
It seems that the addition of this new tool will help overcome such sound differences. However, there is no clear information about how the feature will make changes.

From the screenshots, we can see that the tool appears in Android users. The feature, which we think will provide a more balanced viewing and listening experience, can be activated via the settings icon in the upper right while watching a video.
We don’t know when Stable Volume will debut widely. However, some users say they are starting to see the feature in their apps. This is an indication that the company is testing the feature before rolling it out globally. We will see what exactly Stable Volume will do in the future.
