Premium subscribers are offered the privilege of using YouTube’s newest features first. Experimental features, which were first tested by Premium users, will be opened to all subscribers after a while. Premium users are testing experimental features such as voice search in the browser, managing the playlist more easily by dragging and sorting videos. Now one more feature is available: Zoom to videos.

New YouTube feature: Pinch to zoom
A new pinch to zoom feature has been added to YouTube’s experimental features. This is slightly different from the long-running feature that allows to enlarge the screen in landscape mode. Pinch to zoom allows you to zoom in on the desired point of the video using two fingers instead of magnifying the player.
The new experimental feature, which allows you to zoom in on the video even in landscape mode, is available in the YouTube Android and iOS app; Just tap your profile photo, then your Premium benefits. You can turn on the feature by tapping the “try” button under “Pinch to zoom” on the Try new features page.
The pinch-to-zoom feature will be available until September 1st, giving YouTube Premium subscribers ample time to try the new feature and provide feedback.
