Your next phone could repair its own screen
Analyst firm CCS Insight thinks that phones with “self-healing” screens will hit the market by 2028. Although a clear date has not been shared at this point, it has been stated that production will start in at least five years. According to the report in question, this technology will be possible through “nano coating” on the surface of your Android or iPhone screen.
CCS Insight analyst Ben Wood said: “This is not the realm of science fiction. It can be done. There are some new technologies that people are working on at the moment and it seems like this is one of the other things people could try. We’re not talking about screens that have been smashed miraculously coming back back. These are all just minor cosmetics.” scratches,” he said
It has been used before
And this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of self-repair. Introduced by LG in 2013, LG Flex had a special back cover that allowed scratches to disappear after a while. This development was achieved by a coating of hydrogen atoms and rearranging themselves at equal distances. Therefore, it is possible to say that Android and iPhones may come with self-healing screens. However, we will have to wait a while longer for all this.
