You will soon be able to initiate group calls with up to 15 people on WhatsApp
The popular messaging application WhatsApp, owned by Meta, continues to test new features in its beta version. According to a new report, WhatsApp is testing a new feature in the iOS version. Thanks to this feature, you will be able to make group calls with the people you choose.

Start a group call on WhatsApp with up to 15 contacts of your choice

Specifically, it was already known that group calls support up to 32 participants. However, it was only possible to initiate a group call of up to 7 people and add additional participants after the group call was initiated. Now this is changing. With the latest WhatsApp beta update 2.23.15.14 for Android, users can now initiate group calls with up to 15 people. The same changes were also made available in the WhatsApp beta version 23.15.1.70, for iOS.

As you can see from the screenshot above, some beta testers can easily select up to 15 people when creating a group call. Once the call has started, these participants can join at any time. Although it is possible to select a maximum of 15 people for the first meeting, it is worth noting that there can be a maximum of 32 participants in group calls. The main purpose of this update is to make it easier for users to select more participants during group call setup.
