Popular social media platform Instagram has been offering the “Close Friends” feature for stories since 2018. This feature allowed a shared story to be shown only to certain people. The feature also became available for photos shared in the feed as of last summer.

Now, there has been a new development on the subject. The developer team has further expanded the scope of the Close Friends feature. Users can now use the Close Friends feature for Reels videos as well.

You will now be able to share everything you upload to Instagram with specific people

It is quite simple to use Instagram’s Close Friends feature, which now includes Reels videos. All you need to do is make all the necessary adjustments for the Reels videos you will share on Instagram. On the last page, you will see that a section called “Target audience” has been added just below the “Tag people” section.

When you tap the audience option, you can choose whether to share your post with everyone or with your close friends. Instagram makes it clear that close friends can see each other’s username when they like or comment on the post.
