Work on Android 14, which US-based technology giant Google released in recent months, continues. In this context; The company, which released the Android 14 QPR2 Beta 2 version, announced a new feature it is working on. The feature called “Private Area” seems to be useful for at least some users.
We install tons of apps on our smartphones and we might want to keep some of them private. In fact, companies such as OnePlus and Samsung offer some features that help hide applications. Here is the latest beta version released for Android 14, revealing that this feature will now become a part of the Android ecosystem. Private Area will place the applications you want here, ensuring that they remain private when you are not using them.
Android 14’s Private Space feature will offer enhanced privacy
The Private Space feature will offer unprecedented privacy for users who want to hide the applications they use. Once an app is moved into Private Space, it won’t even show up in the phone’s Settings. The user who wants to access these settings will first need to unlock the Private Area section. Additionally, notifications from applications located in the Private Area will not be shown. The user will be able to use the security method used to unlock the lock screen of his phone in the Private Area, as well as set a special password for this section.
The new feature detected in the latest beta version of Android 14 is still under development. This suggests that the feature will not reach users in the near future. In fact, according to some industry sources, Private Space will reach users with Android 15. Since Google has not made any statement on this issue, it is very difficult to make a prediction about it for now.
