WhatsApp, which introduced the feature of reacting to messages with emoji last May, has not yet fully released the feature. In the feature published for all users, only 6 different emoji could be reacted to the messages. Today, that expected announcement came and the feature started to include all emojis.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in the announcement he shared on Facebook that messages can now be reacted with any emoji on WhatsApp. The new feature, published under the name Reactions 2.0, has started to be uploaded to users as of today. The feature will only be available to iOS users for now. Android users will also start getting the feature in the coming days.

What you need to do to react to WhatsApp messages with emoji is quite simple. When you press and hold on a message sent to you or sent to you, emojis will appear in the window that opens. When you press these emojis, you will be reacting to the messages with emojis. If you want to use a different emoji from the options, you can access different emojis by pressing the ‘+’ icon next to the emojis.
You can only add one emoji to each message in WhatsApp. You cannot hide emoji reactions and number of reactions to your messages. In order to remove the emoji reaction you gave, it will be enough to click on the emoji you sent in the window that opens after pressing the emojis under the message.
