WhatsApp is finally rolling out Reactions 2.0. With this, users can now choose any emoji they want to react to a message in a single or group chat. Here’s what you need to know about this new feature coming to the app:
Zuckerberg announced: Now any emoji can be used as a reaction on WhatsApp
Reactions 2.0 is by Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, “We’re rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp.” announced in words. Although the first version of Reactions launched in early May with six different emojis, the app now follows the same path as Instagram, allowing users to choose which emoji they want to use.
It’s worth noting that Reactions 2.0 is starting to roll out today, meaning it may take a few days or even weeks for the feature to start working for all WhatsApp users. To make sure you have this new option, you can follow these steps:
- Long press on a message.
- Tap to select one of the displayed emojis or tap the “+” icon to select another emoji.
