Cartoonist Yılmaz Aslantürk (Otisabi), who has been making money from this work by turning his drawings into NFT, announced that his OpenSea account, which he made NFT sales, was hacked. The cartoonist, who made statements on Twitter, said that he left the NFT world upon this event. According to Aslantürk’s statements, neither OpenSea nor Metamask, from which he was paid, have agreed to assist in the matter.

In the statements made by Yılmaz Aslantürk, he announced that all the money he earned from NFTs was stolen along with his OpenSea account. The cartoonist did not reveal all the details of what happened, but what he described suggests that Aslantürk was hacked using a fake link-like method.

Yılmaz Aslantürk made the following statement:

“My account at OpenSea was hacked and all my money from the NFTs I sold was stolen. Neither OpenSea nor Metamask responded. They just sent the link on their support page, that’s all. I said goodbye to the NFT world at the beginning of the road. Deleting the jobs there is also paid. It will be automatically deleted after 6 months.”

The hack is not the first, and it won’t be the last. However, it should be said that hackers have recently given a special importance to the NFT world. For example, the OpenSea account of digital media artist Alemşah Öztürk was hacked recently. Öztürk announced that he lost 42 Ethereum. The value of 42 Ethereums at the time of writing this article is $130,895.
