Meta’s new content verification procedure is active
Meta announced in January that it would change the current verification system and pass to the community notes system. The test process, which started with the prestige of 18 March, is carried out in the US at Facebook, Instagram and Threads. However, the notes added by the users in this process will not be open to everyone at the beginning. The company will test the writing and evaluation of notes in the first stage to see how the system works.
Users who want to contribute to the Community Notes must meet some rules. The fact that users have an active account for at least six months and confirmed the phone number is conditioned. Meta will randomly choose individuals who will participate in the program and gradually expand the process.
Community grades will be up to 500 characters long and you will have to include a resource relationship. Initially, it will not be seen who the notes were written. Meta expects users to agree on different perspectives in the process of evaluation. In order to publish a note, users coming from a wide range of views will have to have a joint assessment of the content that the content is useful.
Meta, following the completion of the test process, the community notes in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamca, French and Portuguese plans to be used to be used. The company will continue to maintain the existing third -party verification system outside the United States, but in the future, it is aimed to expand the Group Notes on a globally scale.
