Social media is one of the most important trump cards of crypto money fraudsters. Various crypto scams are emerging on social media, which provides easy access to a wide audience. Scammers, who usually target qualified accounts, produce fake campaigns. A new one of these events took place on the Twitter account of PwC Venezuela.

XRP Scammers Have Launched A Campaign On PwC’s Twitter

The official Twitter account of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Venezuela has been hacked for promoting an XRP scam.

The hacked Twitter account advertised a major event with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expected to take place an hour later. The tweet contains a link that should encourage potential victims to post their crypto.

PwC Venezuela has not yet made a statement or action on the subject. As of 13:00, the sharing for fraudulent purposes continues on the Twitter account.

Last September, YouTube reached a settlement agreement with Ripple. The two sides have promised to work together to put an end to cryptocurrency fraud. Ripple is very sensitive about damaging its brand reputation. If such scams continue to increase, it may be possible for Ripple and Twitter to make a deal.
