The Twitter account of Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX has been reportedly hacked by XRP scammers.

Social media is the target of various crypto scams due to its easy reach to a wide audience. Scammers, often targeting qualified accounts, are running fake campaigns. A new one of these events took place on the Twitter account of the Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX.

XRP Scammers Posted A Campaign On CoinDCX’s Twitter

CoinDCX’s official Twitter account has been hacked for promoting an XRP scam.

On the hacked Twitter account, there were tweets announcing that 100 million XRP will be drawn using Ripple’s name. The tweet contains a link that should encourage potential victims to post their crypto.

CoinDCX has not yet received a statement or action on the subject. The sharing, which was made for fraud in the morning hours, continues to stand on the Twitter account.

Last September, YouTube reached a settlement agreement with Ripple. The two sides have promised to work together to put an end to cryptocurrency fraud. Ripple is very sensitive about damaging its brand reputation. If such scams continue to increase, it may be possible for Ripple and Twitter to make a deal.
