Ashley Prosper, who previously requested that all communications between the SEC and JPMorgan regarding Ripple be disclosed, shared the latest developments on the subject.
XRP community member Ashley Prosper, who filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for disclosure of communications between the SEC and JPMorgan last year, kept XRP enthusiasts up to date on the latest developments.
SEC Delayed Issuing Documents
Prosper said in a recent Twitter post that the SEC has received the search results and is currently reviewing the documents.
However, the SEC stated that these documents require confidential treatment. It was also among the information conveyed that this investigation could take up to 60 days due to the confidentially labeled records of the SEC.
Prosper had filed the FOIA claim because he believed the ongoing Ripple lawsuit started with communication between JPMorgan and the SEC. Efforts by the SEC to publish the documents did not yield positive results, however. Prosper announced to members of the XRP community in March that the SEC had delayed the publication of the document to the end of March.
After the SEC delayed issuing the documents, Prosper announced that he had contacted FOIA advocates to take action against the regulator.
Commenting on the subject, Digital Asset Investor said that the JPMorgan emails could make more noise than the Hinman documents.
