Xiaomi introduced its new smart bracelet, which has been on the agenda for a while, at the event it held today. Launched under the name Smart Band 8 Pro, the model inherits the design of the previous version. However, it should be noted that it brings with it a few important improvements.
The first striking detail in the smart bracelet is the increase of the AMOLED screen from 1.64 inches to 1.74 inches. The panel has a pixel density of 336 ppi, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The screen, whose bezels have been made slightly thinner, also offers Always On Display (AOD) support.
Battery life on Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro has been increased to 14 days. In the previous model, this period was around 12 days. The smart bracelet lasts for 6 days when Always On Display mode is active. The Chinese company has included an updated sensor on the device to monitor physical performance.
Built-in GPS and SpO2 measurement
The smart bracelet has built-in GPS and NFC modules. It can also measure heart rate, stress level, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and sleep quality. In addition to all these, it has features such as more than 150 sports modes and 5 ATM water resistance.
Xiaomi will also launch various straps for the smart bracelet, including colored silicone, leather, metal and fabric models. The price tag for Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is 399 yuan, or 55 dollars. It is not yet known when it will be released outside of China.
