In July, Xiaomi introduced the new Xiaomi 12S Ultra flagship model. Although the camera of the phone stood out in the promotion, it was seen that the fast charging capacity could not beat the speed of its competitors. The Chinese company wants to launch leading models in this field next year.
According to @DCS, one of the popular technology bloggers of Weibo, China’s social media platform, Xiaomi is annoyed that it has not further developed the fast charging feature of its flagship, which is only 67W. For this reason, it will use 100W charging in its models next year. According to the Chinese blogger, the company, which will even make new breakthroughs, may also offer 200W fast charging.
Xiaomi aims to challenge giants
In another statement made by @DCS in July of this year, Xiaomi claimed that the 13 series will use a curved screen with 2K resolution and 120Hz screen refresh rate. Xiaomi also suggested that multipolar single-cell solutions will be used in the 13 series. This means a large battery that enables high-speed charging. It was even among the claims that there would be 50W wireless charging in this series.
Last month, there are some Xiaomi products that passed China’s 3C quality certification. Among these models is a charger with 210W, 20V-10.5A specifications. This partially confirms the blogger’s claims. In a video shared last year, the Chinese technology giant managed to charge the Mi 11 Pro with a 200W supported charger and a 4000 mAh battery to 100% in as little as 8 minutes.
Today, as smartphones develop, battery technologies continue to evolve to accompany them. The shortening of the charging time of these batteries also allows users to move more easily. The launch of Xiaomi’s 210W fast charging feature will encourage companies such as iPhone and Samsung to make faster progress.
