In fact, until last week, there were rumors that the manufacturer will introduce the Redmi Pad 5G. However, it seems that this alleged model will be a new member of the Pad 5 series.
Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 appeared on Geekbench
The Pad 5 series, which Xiaomi showcased last year, appeared before users with an 11-inch panel. According to the latest information, the company is working on a 12.4-inch version of the Pro model. In fact, the device recently appeared on Geekbench with the model number 22081281AC.
When we look at the Geekbench data, we see that the tablet received 986 points from the single-core tests and 3 thousand 117 points from the multi-core tests. On the other hand, it will likely have the same technical features as the 11-inch Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro introduced last year.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. Chipset produced with a 7 nm fabrication process; It houses the Adreno 650 graphics unit in addition to one 3.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A77 (Kryo 585), three 2.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A77 (Kryo 585) and four 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores.
Like its smaller sibling, the tablet will have 8GB of RAM. At the same time, different RAM options will be offered to users. Apart from that, it will run MIUI 13 based on Android 12 right out of the box.
There are also rumors that this tablet is the Redmi Pad 5G, as mentioned above. Unfortunately, there are no clear details about the issue at the moment. Finally, it is expected to be introduced in China on August 11.
