Smartphone giant Xiaomi has started working on its next foldable phone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. In this context, the Mix Fold 3 is expected to be part of a big event that includes the Xiaomi 13T and Redmi Pad 6 series. For those who don’t know, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be the successor of the Mix Fold 2 model introduced in August 2022. Earlier at this point, Xiaomi had confirmed that the Mix Fold 3 will be showcased in August. Recent leaks offer an early preview of the design of the device that will rival the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
When we look at the images, we see that the Mix Fold 3 will have a leather back panel. In addition, this section includes a quad camera setup bearing the Leica logo. According to current reports, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is expected to receive support from the quad camera setup found in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. So it seems likely that it will have a 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary with 50MP OIS, a 50MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide, a 50MP periscope with OIS and 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom and OIS.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will come out of the box with 4,800 battery packs with 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
