Xiaomi-MIUI phone acceleration guide

The smartphone market includes entry and mid-segment budget-friendly models rather than flagship devices. Most of these devices can cause some problems in terms of performance over time. Therefore, you can benefit from the Xiaomi-MIUI phone acceleration guide that we shared in our article.

RAM increase

If you are having trouble with memory usage, you can create swap storage space thanks to the RAM expansion feature that Xiaomi brought to smartphones. However, it should be noted that this feature does not replace physical memory, but still works.

  • Enter Settings.
  • Click Additional Settings.
  • Click Memory Extension.
  • Activate this feature, which gives you 1 to 3 GB of additional memory usage.

Automatic Cache Clear

Cache clearing is actually something that needs to be done frequently. Otherwise, it may cause your device to slow down. Xiaomi, on the other hand, has a feature where you can easily do this, or even automate it.

  • Open the security app.
  • Click the battery button.
  • Choose the settings icon in the top right.
  • Here choose how often to clear the cache while the screen is locked.
  • 10 or 30 minutes will be sufficient.

Block in-app ads

Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO users often complain about in-app ads. Moreover, it is possible to encounter advertisements even in areas such as browser, security and contacts that come with the device. This puts an additional workload on the device whether you want it or not. But the shutdown process is pretty easy. Moreover, there are several different methods.

Turn off ads from links:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click on Connections.
  • Click on Private DNS.
  • Here you can enter a DNS yourself via DNS mode.
  • For example, you can block ads by typing dns.adguard.com.

Ad turn off via Passwords and Security:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click Passwords & Security.
  • Click on Authorization and Rollback.
  • Disable the service named msa.
  • After 10 seconds of waiting time, you can say cancel authorization.

Personalized ad turn off:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click on Privacy Protection.
  • Click on Advertising Services.
  • Disable Personalized Ad Suggestions.

Turn off ads via browser:

  • Go to Mi Browser.
  • Click the profile button on the bottom right.
  • Click the settings icon in the upper right.
  • Click on Advanced Settings.
  • Disable the Add ads option.

Turn off ads via the security app:

  • Enter the security app.
  • Click Settings.
  • Disable Get recommendations.

Turn off ads via File Manager:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click System Application Settings.
  • Choose the File Manager application.
  • You can turn it off by saying Disable Suggestions.

Turn off ads via downloads:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click System Application Settings.
  • Choose the Downloads app.
  • Disable the Show Suggested Content option.

Turn off system animations

  • Enter Settings.
  • Activate the developer options by clicking 4-5 times and enter it.
  • Here below you will see animation settings and their duration. If you do
  • 0 the animations will be turned off completely.
  • Our recommendation would be to do 0.5. So you just need to speed it up.

Empty trash

Finally, let’s say that the more memory your phone has, the slower it will get. Because some users fill almost all of the 64 GB internal memory. Our recommendation is to delete unnecessary applications and files from your device, and then remove them from the trash.
