Leaked According to the information, at least three Xiaomi phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip and 2K resolution display are currently in development. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus is based on TSMC’s 4nm process technology. The chipset consists of 1 extra large Cortex X2 core, 3 large Cortex A710 cores and 4 small Cortex A510 cores.
When will Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus be released?
Names of potential flagship new smartphones have not been disclosed. However, there are rumors that they will be representatives of the Xiaomi 12 and Redmi and Xiaomi MIX models.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chip is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2022, so the aforementioned trio will likely launch at the same time.
