Xiaomi, one of the leading brands in the smartphone industry, aims to introduce a new technology to its users next year. We have also examined the ‘Mi 11 Lite’ model of the Chinese company, which likes to innovate in its products, for you. Xiaomi, which is very impressive in terms of performance, is now preparing to improve itself in this field with its new battery technology.
It is not possible to say that battery technology has made a breakthrough in the smartphone industry, which has experienced great developments in camera technology and ‘silicone hardware’ in the past years. However, Xiaomi can add a new dimension to smartphone production with its new battery technology. The battery produced with the technology called ‘High-Silicon Lithium’ can replace the lithium-ion batteries used so far.
10% increase in battery capacity:
Xiaomi states that the biggest plus of its new technology is its contribution to battery capacity. The ‘High-Silicon Lithium’ battery, which has the same volume as the batteries in currently used smartphones, has 10% more capacity. In other words, while it has the same volume as the batteries with a capacity of 5000 mAh, it can provide a power of 5500 mAh.
Experts are of the opinion that although this 10% difference does not seem large, it is a very solid step on this path. The new technology, in which the silicon ratio is increased by 300%, also provides 100 minutes more battery life. Although no information about its ‘durability’ has been shared, it has been announced that Xiaomi’s new battery technology will enter production in the second half of 2022.
