Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has released a versatile magnetic lamp that can work for everyone. The product, called Xiaomi Mijia Magnetic Reading Lamp, has various lighting modes and an extremely affordable price tag.
You will always be able to find a suitable area to place the lamp. Because you use it by attaching it magnetically wherever you want. For this, first you need to stick the metal base on any surface you want with 3M double-sided tape. You don’t need to drill anywhere.
Afterwards, you can magnetically attach the lamp head to the base or remove it and use it by hand. No batteries or sockets are required. The lamp has a 2,000 mAh battery that provides 4.5 hours of light. You can easily charge it with the 1.2-meter USB-C cable when it is discharged.
150 lumens of brightness
The brightness of the lamp reaches 150 lumens. There are three brightness modes in total. Since it does not flicker, the light source does not tire the eyes and the real colors of the objects are not distorted. The lamp is 36 cm long. In addition, its body can be rotated at an angle of 25 degrees.
The blue light emission level of the Xiaomi Mijia Magnetic Reading Lamp is within acceptable standards. The lamp will be available on the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform. The price tag is 69 yuan ($9.5). It is not yet clear whether it will be released outside of China.
