Chinese technology giant Xiaomi will launch the highly anticipated Redmi K60 series right after the new flagship Xiaomi 13. As it is known, the Redmi K series has been coming with a special Gaming version for players for a long time. However, Xiaomi can shelve these player-oriented phones.

Statement from Xiaomi

Making statements about the upcoming Xiaomi 13 and Redmi K60 series today, Xiaomi Vice President and Redmi CEO Lu Weibing stated that in 2023, special devices will not be needed to play games on Android, and this trend is “doomed”. This shows us that the upcoming Redmi K60 series will not include a special Gaming edition.

In addition, in its recent statements, Weibing also clarified the claims that the Redmi K60 series will come with a Dynamic Island-like notification panel on the iPhone 14. The official stated that this feature has been tested by the Xiaomi software development team and that we can see an Apple-like notification panel even if the selfie cameras are in the corner.

In the light of the shared information, we can say that the upcoming Redmi K60 series will appear with Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E versions. These devices will be equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 8200 processors, respectively. The upcoming smartphone family is expected to be introduced before the end of this year.
