Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is planning to launch several new laptops. Recently, the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022, based on the 10-core Intel Core i7-12650H processor, appeared in the Geekbench database. Now another device is listed.
Redmi is preparing to launch a giant 100 inch smart TV
We are talking about the model referred to as Xiaomi Book S 12.4. Equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 platform, the device runs the Windows 11 Home operating system. It looks like the laptop will come with a 12.4-inch screen.
It can be the thinnest and lightest model
Since the Chinese company prefers to use the ARM platform, there is no need for an active cooling system. Therefore, the Book S 12.4 may be Xiaomi’s thinnest and lightest laptop. However, it is not known whether the processor selection will make people smile in terms of performance.
Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 is even behind the Snapdragon 888 that debuted last year. So the processor in question doesn’t seem like a good choice for a laptop. One wonders why Xiaomi didn’t include a newer platform like the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 on the device.
