Xiaomi has updated its list of smartphones that will never receive updates again. The Chinese brand has included five more models in the EOS, that is, end of support list. You can see the full list of devices in question below:
- Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
- Redmi Note 9 Pro
- Redmi Note 9S
- Redmi Note 9S Pro
- Redmi Note 9S Pro Max
No more updates will be offered for all the above-mentioned smartphones. We are talking about security patches, Android OS updates and MIUI interface.
It is recommended to switch to new models
In such cases, manufacturers recommend users to switch to newer smartphone models, as devices that reach the end of support become risky in terms of security.
The Redmi Note 9 series was launched on April 30, 2020. As you may remember, Xiaomi also introduced the Mi Note 10 Lite on the last day of April in the same year. All of these smartphones were added to the EOS list at the same time.
