Xiaomi demonstrates the camera performance capabilities of its smartphones, especially with the Ultra series. As you know, the current Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a 1 inch camera sensor. The next model must use a similar sized sensor to deliver superior image and video quality.It seems unlikely that the flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be released before 2024. However, Chinese source Digital Chat Station shared some important details about the device. The leak in question focuses mostly on the camera features of the smartphone.
When will Xiaomi 14 Ultra be released?
According to the information conveyed, Xiaomi 14 Ultra will include a 50 megapixel Sony LYT900 camera sensor. In other words, it is an improved version of IMX9898, which was previously used in Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro. LYT900 has a 1/0.98 inch optical format. Additionally, the photosensitive surface area was increased by 9%. So it can capture more light than the previous sensor.
Let us remind you that there are currently five sensors in the Sony Lytia series: LYT900, LYT800, LYT700, LYT600 and LYT500. A 2K resolution curved screen, a quad camera system placed on a large round “island” and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset are also being talked about for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The device will probably be released in the first half of next year.
