Two of the best phones of 2023 will hit the market in the first half of the year. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to launch on February 1st and the Xiaomi 13 Ultra sometime after that, but recent leaks suggest we can wait longer than expected for this notable Galaxy S rival.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra probably won’t be released until after March, as reputable leakster Digital Chat Station has posted on Weibo. It is also said to be available in early April. So we probably won’t be able to see the Xiaomi 13 Ultra at MWC 2023, a major trade show that will kick off on February 27.

This gives Samsung a clear period of around 2 months before Xiaomi’s S23 Ultra rival arrives, and perhaps even longer for most of the world, as the April launch is thought to be for China only. This means additional time for the phone to go on sale in other regions.

On the other hand, some other Chinese phones may come out earlier, Digital Chat Station said in the same post that they expect the Oppo Find X6 series and Honor Magic 5 series to be announced in late February or early March, which will coincide with MWC.
