DxOMark experts tested the camera performance of the camera-centric Xiaomi 13 Ultra flagship. Unfortunately, the smartphone did not meet expectations. The device, which could only get 140 points, could not enter the top 10 among the best camera phones.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which the Chinese company highlighted with its mobile photography capabilities, achieved a disappointing score even lower than the iPhone 14 Pro/14 Pro Max, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and even the iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro Max.
It has four 50 MP cameras
As a result, Xiaomi’s new phone placed 14th in the overall ranking. Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has a main camera system with four sensors of 50 megapixels each. The main sensor in the quad camera offers variable aperture.
In addition to the main sensor, the rear camera system includes a wide-angle lens, a telephoto sensor with three times optical zoom, and a periscope camera that offers five times zoom without loss of quality. It should be noted that the lenses are signed by Leica.
Here are the pros and cons
The pros of the camera were listed as excellent image quality at all zoom distances, natural details, good low-light performance, clarity of objects in photos taken in motion, and good level of detail even in challenging conditions.
The cons of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra camera are listed as a long delay between the shutter release and the start of shooting, oversaturated colors in daylight, white balance problems in video mode, skin tones looking unnatural in HDR photos, and occasional distortion of moving elements while shooting video.
