Xiaomi, which has recently lost its popularity in the smartphone industry, introduced its new flagship phone today. The phone, named Xiaomi 13 Ultra, will mark a new threshold in the camera industry in the smartphone industry.
Partnering with Leica, Xiaomi will include four 50 MP camera sensors in the 13 Ultra model. The main camera, located in the quad camera setup on the back panel, will include the Sony IMX989 sensor. But the features that the camera setup will offer will be features that are not found in any other phone.
Here comes the Xiaomi 13 Ultra:
Design:
The most prominent detail in the design of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is, of course, the camera setup of the device. The phone features a circular camera setup on its back panel that stretches almost from side to side. The back panel also offers leather texture.
There is no special design detail on the front of the phone. The device features a perforated screen design, and there is a front camera in this hole.
Screen:
Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a 6.73-inch screen. The screen hosts an AMOLED panel and a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. The adaptive screen speed refresh feature, which has recently entered our lives, is also included in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The device promises a screen refresh rate between 1-120 Hz depending on the situation.
Another point where the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is superior to other phones is hidden in the screen brightness. The device offers an unprecedented maximum brightness of 1300 nits. In this way, the contents on the screen of the device can be easily seen even when the Sun is at its highest.
Equipment:
Xiaomi 13 Ultra packs the top-of-the-line chipset as expected. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the device also hosts Adreno 740 GPU and Snapdragon X70 modem with this chipset. Thanks to the modem, 5G connection support is also offered.
The flagship phone will be available with 256, 512 and 1TB storage options and 12 and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM options.
Camera:
Let’s come to the fruit of the phone, even the fruit tree. Xiaomi 13 Ultra hosts a 50 MP main camera consisting of a 1-inch Sony IMX 989 sensor, a 50 MP Sony IMX 858 telephoto sensor, a 50 MP periscope and a 50 MP macro camera.
The 50 MP quad camera setup offers many features to users. The device can shoot at 12mm, 23mm, 75mm and 120mm focal lengths. In addition, thanks to the telephoto sensor, it also provides access to 46 mm and 240 mm focal length options. As for zooming, up to 10 times zoom is offered.
Comparing the Xiaomi 13 Ultra with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the following views emerge:
Battery:
The battery capacity of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may be a bit disappointing according to the performance it offers. The phone features a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which is standard in today’s mid-range phones. The battery offers 90 W fast charging with cable and 50 W wireless fast charging support. With 90 W charging support, it can reach 100% charge level in 35 minutes.
