The flagship series of Xiaomi 12, 12X and 12 Pro was launched in December. Except for the Pro, the other two models attracted attention with their 6.28-inch screen. It turned out that the technology giant is now working on a smaller smartphone with a ‘mini’ attached.
According to initial information, the phone, which is expected to come with the name Xiaomi 12 mini, will be smaller than the screens of Xiaomi 12 and 12X. Its size is yet to be clarified, but it is estimated to be less than 6 inches. Most of today’s flagship Android phones do not have a screen smaller than 6 inches. Xiaomi can fix this shortcoming with the 12 mini.

According to the leaked photos, Xiaomi 12 mini will feature a triple camera setup on the back with unknown Megapixel values. These cameras will be accompanied by a triple LED flash system. However, it is among the expectations that the device will be very different from other members of the Xiaomi 12 series and will come out with a brand new design.
There is not much information about the technical details of the Xiaomi 12 mini. However, it is claimed that it will not be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor as in the Xiaomi 12 Pro, and instead the company looks more warmly to the Snapdragon 870 processor. Of course, the accuracy of these rumors will be evident at the phone’s promotional event, which is expected to take place this year.
Xiaomi also tried the compact and small smartphone idea with the 12X model. Emphasizing that it was developed for small screen lovers, the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 870 instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as it is affordable compared to 12 Pro. It also includes a 120Hz, 419 ppi and Full HD + resolution AMOLED screen.
