The world’s most popular microblogging platform, X, hosted a significant change a few months ago. With this change, titles in the preview views for shared links were removed and only headline images began to be shared. To see the content in the link, the user had to tap on the image and go to the relevant page.
While this feature was liked by some users, it was not liked by some. In fact, even some news sources did not like this feature very much. That being the case, text began to be written over the headline images. Some of them started to share the titles thanks to the texts.
Elon Musk announced that the regulation will be rolled back
According to a statement made by Elon Musk in X, with the edit to be made, the title of the content will also be displayed in the area where the URL card is created. However, Elon Musk did not make a statement about when this will happen and what the new cards will look like.
The change seems to benefit users the most. Creating a simple and understandable card layout can make users’ work easier and protect them from fraudulent connections. Of course, before we can talk about all this, we will need to see X’s new card system.
