Apple will organize the first stage of Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), or as it is known in our country, Apple World Developers Conference next Monday. Although software developers will come together here, we expect to see new technologies.
As a matter of fact, according to increasingly frequent claims and leaks, the M2 processor and the new MacBook Air, which is the first laptop model to use it, will be introduced during the event. But as of today, some Apple authorized vendors (3rd party) have started listing the new M2 Mac mini model.
WWDC show from Apple: M2 Mac mini and MacBook Air are coming!
Right now, the eyes of the whole world are on Apple’s WWDC 22 event, which will start tomorrow. In particular, the introduction of the new iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, macOS 13 and tvOS 16 operating systems draws attention. But there will be some surprises as well.
First, a small introduction for the M2 processor is expected. Later, new computers using this chip will be introduced. These are currently called M2 MacBook Air and M2 Mac mini.
Although the introduction of this processor and computers has not been officially announced by Apple, some authorized developers such as B&H Photo have started to list these devices on their websites. Of course, they did not include prices and images for the time being.
But expectations are high from the M2. The latest releases of the family will not provide high performance like the M1 Pro, Ultra and Max. However, it will consume less power even though it is at least 10 percent more powerful than the M1. This will put it in the top 3 in performance per watt.
Of course, we can see that Apple has taken the first place in the list as it has a hobby of exceeding expectations in recent years. However, in terms of general features, this processor will use the CPU and GPU cores in the A15 chip in the iPhone 13 models. So, as we mentioned, the target is low power consumption and higher performance than its predecessor.
