Apple introduced some of its very curious products, such as iOS 17 and Vision Pro, at the WWDC 2023 event held yesterday. But while it was a little overshadowed, one of the stars of the event was undoubtedly the long-awaited MacBook Air model.

Apple introduced the new 15-inch MacBook Air at WWDC 2023. Apple claims the device will be “the world’s best 15-inch laptop”. The computer will come with Apple’s M2 chip with an octa-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core neural engine.

Apple states that the new Air will be up to 12 times faster than the fastest Intel MacBook Air models and will offer up to 18 hours of battery life.

Like previous MacBook Air models, the new 15-inch computer will feature a fanless design. Offering up to 2 TB of storage, the computer can be configured with up to 24 GB of RAM.

The new model is 11.5mm thick, making it the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop, according to Apple. It will weigh a little more than three kilograms. The computer features two USB-C Thunderbolt ports (supports up to 6K external display at 60Hz), a MagSafe charging connector, and a headphone jack and will be available in midnight, starlight, space gray, and silver.

The 15.3-inch LED-backlit IPS display has a five-millimeter bezel, 500 nits of brightness and a resolution of 2,880 x 1,864. The FaceTime HD webcam, on the other hand, offers 1080p resolution.

The price of the new model starts at $1,299 and is expected to hit the shelves next week.
