While cooling systems were once needed only for the processor and graphics card, today advanced cooling systems welcome us even in the cases of smartphones. Cooling solutions have become indispensable for performance-oriented components such as memory and storage. Team Group, on the other hand, used a steam room solution on an SSD drive for the first time.

Steam room SSD

The performance-oriented new N74V-M80 M.2 SSD drive introduced by Team Goup comes with a vapor room solution. The company applied a thermal layer on the circuit board and placed the steam room on it.

At the top is the heat spreader. Similar to mobile devices, the vapor chamber works much more efficiently and maximizes performance against its competitors who do not have a cooling solution at the same temperature.

Using PCIe Gen3 x4 and NVMe 1.3 standards, the drive achieves 3400MB/s read speeds and 2500MB/s writes speeds. The drive, which will be offered in 128GB-256GB-512GB capacities, has a somewhat thick structure. The price has not been announced yet.
