The World Economic Forum (WEF) rejected the claim that the Shiba Inu will be working on the metaverse.
Although the WEF confirmed that they had a exploratory meeting with the Shiba Inu organizers, they did not send them an invitation, he said.
World Economic Forum Not Negotiated With Shiba Inu
Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, posted a survey of the WEF’s invitation via Twitter on November 22. 62.3% of respondents voted that the Shiba Inu should accept the WEF’s offer. However, some followers stated that such cooperation would go against the decentralized nature of the community.
The WEF’s metaverse initiative, launched in Davos last May, defines its mission as building an open inclusive metaverse. The formation has partnered with more than 100 companies to date, including Meta, Decentraland, Animoca Brands, Polygon and Somnium Space.
WEF does not plan to work with Shiba Inu for now. Shiba Inu was launched with the motto “Dogecoin killer” at a time when the crypto money industry was having a very good day and gained a loyal following that called itself the Shib Army.
The team has continued to develop its ecosystem since then. Earlier this year, the button was pressed to build a metaverse platform called SHIB: The Metaverse.
