One of the cliches of science fiction movies is that robots grow human embryos. A biotechnology company has also taken the first steps for a study that will not look like science fiction movies.

Thanks to these new steps taken regarding embryos, a great improvement can be achieved in the treatment of many diseases. So how? Let’s take a closer look at the new developments and the planned works.

Artificial people are wanted to be produced in order to be able to donate organs and stem cell therapy.

An Israel-based biotech company wants to replicate a recent experiment that has successfully created an artificial mouse embryo from stem cells, but this time with human cells. “The embryo is the best organ-making machine and the best 3D bioprinter, we’ll try to emulate it with artificial embryos,” says Jacob Hanna, lead investigator of the experiment, after the successful experiment with mice cloned from mouse cells.

In other words, scientists want to solve the problems of patients suffering from organ disorders with organs/stem cells taken from artificial embryos without the need for people to donate their organs. The research team states that this way, people can be younger and healthier. However, it is quite possible that the studies carried out will bring ethical problems.

However, Hanna said in her interview that these ethical problems will not occur, that their aim is not to clone humans; instead, she said, creating a synthetic human body with no lungs, heart or brain functioning.
