Apple changed the Fitness app with iOS 16, which it announced at WWDC22. Now iPhone users can take advantage of the Fitness app even if they don’t have an Apple Watch. Thus, the technology giant wants to make the application a useful activity monitoring option.
Apple Watch is no longer needed for the Fitness app
The updated Fitness app with the new version of the operating system becomes useful for people who don’t have an Apple Watch or a third-party activity tracker.
Apple started introducing new functionality in the Mail app
With iOS 16, iPhone users will be able to reach the estimated calorie expenditure with the number of steps, distance traveled and training information in third-party applications.
The Current Fitness app is largely similar to the Fitness app offered to Apple Watch owners, but lacks a Fitness+ tab.
