Dynamic Island is undoubtedly the biggest feature of this year’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Por Max models. Dynamic Island, which replaces the notch on Pro models and works as a shape-shifting multitasking notification panel, is expected to be on all iPhone 15 models next year.

According to the transfer, Apple is making a small change on Dynamic Island in the iOS 16.2 Beta version. In earlier versions of iOS 16, the width of Dynamic Island only allowed two icons to be displayed on the iPhone 14 Pro’s status bar. Only the Wi-Fi icon or the battery icon was displayed with bars showing the strength of the cellular signal.

Dynamic Island shrinks in iOS 16.2 Beta

Dynamic Island is being scaled down with iOS 16.2 Beta for more functionality. While playing music on iPhone, Dynamic Island’s size is noticeably reduced so that all three icons mentioned above are visible at the same time. This may not seem like a big deal, but for those who see that one of the icons on their phone’s status bar have disappeared and think there is a connection problem, this feature seems to have arrived.

No such problem on iPhone 14 Pro Max

Let’s underline that there is no such problem for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which has a larger 6.7-inch screen compared to the 6.1-inch screen of the iPhone 14 Pro. With the larger screen, the iPhone 14 Pro Max was able to show all three icons in the status bar at the same time, even before the change.

For now, it is unknown when the stable version of iOS 16.2 will be released. On the other hand, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that iOS 16.2 will not be released by Apple until mid-December.
