Although electric cars stand out with their environmentalist identities, the charging problem experienced prevents these vehicles from being used in wider frames. As you know, electric vehicles need quite a long time to recharge.
In the coming period, it is aimed to bring the charging times of the batteries of electric vehicles to similar figures with the filling times of gasoline and diesel vehicles. Although fast charging systems provide a solution to this issue at a certain level, this process can only be performed at certain stations.
Companies started to work on wireless charging systems
Wired charging systems used in electric cars are not only slow, but also lag behind in terms of usability. Therefore, wireless systems have attracted the attention of many companies. In this way, it will be sufficient to park the vehicles only on a certain area.
Currently, these studies have started on different models in various countries. Finally, Sweden started working on a three-year plan. The country’s leading taxi company Cabonline will deploy a small fleet of electric Volvo XC40 Recharge taxis that will charge wirelessly at stations across the city of Gothenburg.
With these studies, electric cars can adapt to our lives much faster. Volvo is one of the brands that are looking for alternative charging systems to shorten this process as much as possible. The Swedish manufacturer states that wireless charging systems work more smoothly, and that cable clutter can be avoided in this way.
In addition to Volvo, BMW, Nissan and Renault continue to work on wireless charging systems. Of course, these systems are still at the very beginning. However, we can say that electric cars with wireless charging will become much more common in the future.
