Windows XP, the first operating system for many of us, and its iconic logo might actually look very different. A while ago, design firm Frog Design released Windows XP logos it made for Microsoft but were never used.The classic three-dimensional logo of Windows XP appeared in 2001, but it seems that there were many different and strange options on the way to the choice of this logo. Microsoft turned to a company called Frog Design to create a new logo and help shape the look of the user interface and taskbars.

Casey Potter, creative director of Frog Design, announced that they designed 50 logo samples considering Microsoft’s flexible, user-friendly demands. These designs went from simple to radical. One logo even included the depiction of a single window facing the blue sky. All these designs came about because “Microsoft wanted an outside perspective during the design of its next generation operating system, Windows XP.”
On the other hand, when we look at the logos, we see that the emphasis is on 2002 in an interesting way. Therefore, we can say that the company thinks differently than Microsoft in terms of naming. Finally, Windows XP remained in use for a very long time with its easy use and extremely stable structure. Even today, it is possible to see those using this iconic operating system.
