Introduced for the Galaxy Note 10 series in 2019, Link to Windows started its life as a project developed by Microsoft and Samsung. With Link to Windows, in recent years, Samsung Galaxy users have been able to perform functions such as viewing notifications, messaging and making calls on their computers by connecting their smartphones to Windows. This feature, which has become even richer in the coming years, will soon be opened to new companies.

Link to Windows is offered to new brands

Microsoft’s Link to Windows application was also available on Honor and Surface smartphones in recent years. The application, which offers features such as screen mirroring or audio transmission in the mentioned brands, only offered limited features on other Android phones, but Microsoft decided to make this service more widespread. Microsoft stated that the Connect to Windows application will come to OnePlus, Oppo and Realme smartphones in the coming period.

It is not yet clear which model products of the mentioned brands will have this feature, but this feature is expected to be tested in the beta version of ColorOS 14. Unfortunately, Link to Windows requires smartphone manufacturers to release an update, so it cannot be installed on unsupported phones by downloading an apk file.
