As of April’s results, Windows 11 increased its share among desktop Windows versions to 23.01 percent, with an increase of 2.06 percent compared to the previous month. This rate reached by the operating system is at an all-time high. Time will tell if Windows 11 will be able to sustain the steady growth it has been holding.
On the other hand, despite the fact that Windows 11 has increased its user share, Microsoft will probably be disappointed that people are so slow to migrate to the operating system. Windows 10’s share of 71.45 percent is enough to keep the old operating system in the lead by far, although it has not received any significant new features for a while. Windows 10 fell to 67 percent last December, but it continues its stable progress by increasing its market share to its previous levels.Microsoft announced a while ago that it would no longer offer major updates to Windows 10. Whether this move will be enough to move people from Windows 10 to 11 or whether people will continue to stick to the operating system as we saw with Windows 7 will show in the coming months. Meanwhile, there are minor changes in the overall operating system ranking. The overall ranking is as follows: Android (37.98%), Windows (27.85%), iOS (17.49%) and OS X (7.84%).
